Congratulations! In the "pre-clinical training" category, Christina Herre received the award for her course lesson "Abdominalitus" as part of the Anatomy I - Situs course for the 2nd semester. Prof. Bröer received the teaching award in the "clinical training" category for the galenic practical course in her subject "Drug and Narcotics Law" in the 7th semester. The award ceremony took place on February 14 as part of the 3rd Berlin Veterinarians' Meeting, hosted by the Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer der Veterinärmedizin an der Freien Universität Berlin e.V. and the Berliner Tierärztliche Gesellschaft e.V. in the Equine Clinic lecture hall.

For Prof. Bröer, this is already the second award in a short space of time: at the end of 2023, she was named Professor of the Year. To the article: Professor of the Year.

The nominations are based on the teaching evaluation by the students

Since 2018, the Society of Friends and Supporters of Veterinary Medicine at Freie Universität Berlin e.V., together with the Dean's Office of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and the Fachschaftsinitiative Veterinärmedizin e.V., has awarded the annual prize for excellent teaching. The prize is awarded to courses or lecturers who promote the acquisition of knowledge by students in a didactically convincing manner. The teaching award recognizes outstanding and exemplary achievements in teaching that clearly demonstrate the special importance of university teaching, are characterized by above-average commitment and promote the further development of teaching. Candidates for the teaching award are nominated on the basis of teaching evaluations carried out by students. The two award-winning courses are from the summer semester 2023.
