Workshop ECVPH on risk factor models

21.06.2023 - 23.06.2023

The aim of this workshop is to develop a common understanding of the approaches / study designs used to identify risk factors for disease-related outcomes at different levels (sample, animal,

flock/herd), and the conceptual and statistical models to derive estimates for the most commonly used measures of association such as relative risks, risk (rate) ratios and odds ratios. After completion of the workshop, the participants can identify suitable study designs as well as measures of association for different research questions, to calculate and interpret these measures using relevant examples, and to communicate uncertainties and biases in the model estimates.
