DESCRIPTION: The aim of this workshop is to develop a common understanding 
 of the approaches / study designs used to identify risk factors for disease
 -related outcomes at different levels (sample\, animal\,   flock/herd)\, an
 d the conceptual and statistical models to derive estimates for the most co
 mmonly used measures of association such as relative risks\, risk (rate) ra
 tios and odds ratios. After completion of the workshop\, the participants c
 an identify suitable study designs as well as measures of association for d
 ifferent research questions\, to calculate and interpret these measures usi
 ng relevant examples\, and to communicate uncertainties and biases in the m
 odel estimates.
