Learning Objectives
The fundamental educational content of the program in veterinary medicine is described in the German Veterinary Medical Licensure Law (Verordnung zur Approbation von Tierärztinnen und Tierärzten – TAppV); the relevant competencies have been defined by the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) on the basis of EU Directive 2005/36/EC. These are termed “Day One Competences”.
For information on the specific learning objectives in connection with the relevant “day-one skills” for the respective subjects, organ blocks, and extramural internships in veterinary education as well as examination subjects and detailed information on the structure, process, and evaluation criteria for the relevant exams, please see the overall catalog for the degree program in veterinary medicine.
The learning objectives form the main basis for learning objective-related course evaluation by way of the questionnaire to check the learning success achieved in a course (LeZiKo).
