(in short: hygiene and food inspection internship (Hygiene- und Lebensmitteluntersuchungspraktikum) pursuant to sections 55 (1) and 56 (1) TAppV)

Duration 75 hours within at least 2 weeks, consecutive
Schedule

Period of clinical rotations during the 9th and 10th semesters (October 1 through September 30 of the next year)

Institutions

Authority responsible for monitoring the hygiene of slaughterhouses and food operations, or offices responsible for monitoring traffic in foods of animal origin or the corresponding food inspections, or recognized food industry institutions that inspect the quality and harmlessness of foods of animal origin, or relevant university institutions

Requirements Sections 55 (1) and 56 TAppV
Countries

EU country, other country that is a signatory to the Treaty on the European Economic Area, Switzerland

Evaluation

Evaluation can be carried out paper based or online. Please submit completed evaluation-forms (paper based) to the Dean’s Office. Evaluation Forms can be found in the broschure "Extramurale Praktika im Studiengang Veterinärmedizin".
