Travel Grant for young scientists from the faculty of veterinary medicine FU Berlin

The Research Foundation for Animal Diseases awards funding for young scientists in order to facilitate the participation at conferences and training activities. Applications for up to 1000 € per person and trip regarding all topics of research and training in animal health and animal welfare can be submitted by January, 31st, April, 30th, July, 31st, and October, 31st, respectively. Only members of the faculty of veterinary medicine of FU Berlin (scientific staff or doctoral students conducting a doctoral study at the faculty of veterinary medicine) can apply for funding. Especially persons whose participation at congresses can not be financed by other sources are supported. Each applicant can be funded only once a year. If more valid applications are sent as can be funded, the financial resources, the scientific performance as well as previous funding of applicants are considered regarding the decision. Furthermore, the maximum amount of funding per person can eventually be reduced. The managing board of the foundation decides on the applications within four weeks after the application deadline.

Additionally, funding of material expenses is also possible for university or extra univsersity instutions. It can be applied for equipment, material or scientific literature up to 2000 € per application. Please send respective applications to us and contact us in advance.
