How to apply
Welcome to our instructions on how to apply for the 2 scholarships of our RTG 3096 program! Please take your time to read the instructions carefully to make sure you submit a complete application.
Thank you very much for your interest in our Research Training Group (RTG) 3096 “One Health approach to soil transmitted helminths”.
We offer 2 scholarships for doctoral researchers in 2 different projects, which are located in Kenya.
Please note: The subjects of the 2 projects are different and require different backgrounds ranging from Parasitology, Immunology, Veterinary Medicine to ecological modeler, social scientists and economists. Please check the descriptions of both projects here to find the right project for you.
The call is open until January 19, 2026, only. Project start will be April 1, 2026.
Application
- Please send your application preferable as a single PDF file to grk3096@vetmed.fu-berlin.de
- Your application should include:
- CV
- Personal details (Name, DoB, current postal adress, e-mail address, phone number)
- Education (date of graduation (e.g. Master and Bachelor), subject and University of studies, a short summary of your thesi(e)s i.a., and skills you learned (e.g. lab methods, statistical programs)
- Professional career, i.a. (including name of University/company/employer, the tasks you did and the scientific methods you used)
- Letter of motivation
- maximum 2 pages
- should adress the following questions: Why do you want to do your PhD in one of the projects? Why do you think you are suitable for this project? Why do you want to join the doctoral program Research Training Group 3096? What are your future plans?
- Two letters of reference
- Certificates of College/University career
- CV
- The application must be in English only. Please make sure that all your personal details including your e-mail address and postal mail address are up to date, as we will be using them to communicate with you throughout the whole application process!
