Diseases of the heart
Cardiological examination
The examination of the heart and circulatory system is carried out at the highest level in our clinic. All examination methods such as echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) (Fig. 1), ECG, phonocardiography, examinations using cardiac catheters and blood pressure monitoring can be carried out at our clinic. Thanks to the advanced specialization of our staff, the examinations and evaluations of the findings are carried out with a high level of expertise. Cardiological examinations are carried out in-house in cases of suspected heart disease, as an expert opinion in the context of legal disputes or as part of the clarification of a reduction in performance.
Echocardiography
We have several ultrasound machines with state-of-the-art technology at our disposal for cardiac ultrasound examinations. In addition to the standard examination using 2D ultrasound (Fig.2), M-mode, color Doppler (Fig.3) for blood flow imaging and spectral Doppler (Fig.4) for measuring blood flow, innovative techniques such as tissue Doppler and speckle tracking are also used for special indications. This allows cardiac measurements, functional parameters of the heart and blood flow to be evaluated, and with the newer techniques also the speed of movement of the heart muscle. Some of the results are obtained during the examination, while others are evaluated afterwards in an echocardiography laboratory (Fig. 5).
ECG
Electrocardiography (ECG) (Fig. 6) for cardiac arrhythmias can be performed at rest, as an exercise ECG or as a long-term ECG. All these examinations are often necessary to detect life-threatening arrhythmias that occur suddenly or under stress.
