Practical training in inspection activities, methods, and technologies for the foodstuffs sector
(in short: hygiene and food inspection internship (Hygiene- und Lebensmitteluntersuchungspraktikum) pursuant to sections 55 (1) and 56 (1) TAppV)

Duration 75 hours within at least 2 weeks, consecutively
Schedule Time of clinical rotations during the 9th semester and 10th semester (1st October to 30th September of the following year)
Allocation 1 institution
Institutions
  • competent authority for hygiene monitoring of abattoirs and food processing facilities or offices responsible for monitoring the movement of animal source foods or the corresponding food inspection, or
  • recognised institutions in the food industry that test the quality and safety of foods of animal origin, or
  • relevant university institutions;

Countries EU country, other signatory to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Switzerland
Documentation 1 certificate according to Annex 6 TAppV

Evaluation Please submit the completed evaluation forms together with the completed logbook signed by yourself and by the EPT provider and your internship certificate in person to the Veterinary Library (Building 6, Oertzenweg 19 b, 14163 Berlin).
