Doctoral researchers of the member labs can become associated members of the Research Training Group 2046. As an associated doctoral researcher you follow the same curriculum as those that have been recruited externally. You will also receive financial support for traveling, meeting attendance and course registration fees.
• your doctoral project started less than a year before the association interview takes place.
• submit the following documents by email to the coordinator as PDF or Word attachment (all in English).
o bachelor/prediploma & master/diploma certificates as well as study transcripts (English or German)
o a short (1/2 page) description of the doctoral project
o a motivation letter (1/2 to 1 page) for your project and why you intend to become an associated student in our graduate school
o a reference letter from your supervisor (feel free to attach an additional reference at your choice)
Association interviews to assess your suitability for the program comprise
• 7 min presentation of your last research project (not PhD project for comparison)
• 7 min Q&A with the steering group
