"Sentience: a short introduction, and the case for mammals and birds"

We're excited to kick off ourmini-series, ‘Animal Sentience' on Wednesday, October 25th at 12:30pm EDT! 

 

Dr. Jonathan Birch and Dr. Georgia Mason will be presenting an online seminar on "Sentience: a short introduction, and the case for mammals and birds"

 

Dr. Jonathan Birch is an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics and Philosophy, and the Principal Investigator on the Foundations of Animal Sentience project. Dr. Birch completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2013 and was the recipient of a Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2014. Dr. Birch’s primary focus is on animal sentience, cognition and welfare, and the evolution of altruism and social behaviour.
